Chris Cinnamon

Head Instructor

Chris Cinnamon is an exercise physiologist, lawyer, and the Head Instructor at Chicago Tai Chi. He is the author of Tai Chi for Knee Health: The Low-Impact Exercise System for Eliminating Knee Pain (2019) and Tai Chi for Balance: How to Stay on Your Feet and Avoid Falls (2023).

Chris holds a law degree from the University of Michigan, a Masters in Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and is certified as an exercise physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine. Chris served in the US Navy, flying carrier-based F-14 Tomcat fighter jets, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Chris has trained extensively under Tai Chi and Qigong Lineage Holder Master Bruce Frantzis.

Chris is passionate about helping his students and clients experience the powerful benefits, and fun, of authentic Tai Chi, Qigong, and Meditation.
